Apply For Our Working at Height Consultant Position

Please note: this position will involve travel with occasional overnight stays to visit client premises to undertake consultancy assignments of health and safety compliance.

Tetra Consulting is a fast-growing property and safety risk consultancy. We’re looking for a Working at Height Consultant to help us provide a high standard of consultancy to a broad range of existing clients, involving Risk Assessments, equipment checks, training audits. You will have extensive experience working as a Working at Height Safety Consultant providing services to UK based companies.

Client work includes:

  • Measuring compliance with The Work at Height Regulations 2005 (as amended in 2007).
  • Checking documentation compliance in accordance with relevant clauses of BS 7883:2019 “Anchor Systems – System Design, Installation & Inspection Code of Practice”.
  • Reviewing inspection documentation for routine inspection and maintenance of the work at height access systems.
  • Identifying foreseeable working at height tasks likely to be undertaken on the property.
  • Identifying possible areas of improvement within work at height access systems or work procedures to enhance safety on site.

Key Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of UK H&S and Working at Height regulations
  • Staying up to date with current and developing legislation, standards and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Project management – delivering projects on time and to budget, managing resources and undertaking regular project reviews.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and report writing skills.
  • Thrive working in a team and supporting colleagues across the business.
  • Ability to market Tetra’s service offering.
  • Driving licence.
  • Primarily to work in the London area, although some travel outside the M25 may be required

Desired Skills

  • NEBOSH Health and Safety qualification.
  • Member of IOSH – Institute of Occupational Safety and Health or IIRSM – International Institute of Risk & Safety Management.
  • Experience interpreting and implementing complex safety management systems either on a global scale, or in medium/high risk industries.
